E-Bikes

  Following a couple of consequtive years of summer holidays in Cyclades and Santorini, we recently had the time to follow my Italian friend's Luigi recommendation to visit Thirasia and explore this spectacular islet with bicycles. Yianni, a very gentle person with a great smile (who rents the bicycles) was proved an excellent guide and took perfect care of me and my family. We have all appreciated his contribution to turn a simple day to the best day of our holidays and we are looking forward to getting again the opportunity for a safely adventurous bicycle & trekking tour with our new friend.   The bike tour around Thirasia with Yannis was the coolest thing my wife and I did while staying in Santorini. His tour takes you all over Thirassia and offers great details about the history and culture of Santorini and Thirassia. The bikes are in excellent condition and the electric motor really makes for an easy ride on what would otherwise be taxing hills. You don't have to be in incredible physical condition or a world class rider to take the tour--most of the ride is on roads and there are no cars to speak of. You will see the whole island, including some historic landmarks and ancient cave homes. The island is such a peaceful place and it feels like you can really get an idea of what Santorini was like before tourism took over. Yannis is very easy to communicate with, very engaging, and extremely knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun learning about the area and getting to know him. Of all the things we did in Santorini, his bike tour is the thing I would undoubtedly do a second time. If you're trying to prioritize activities for your time here, put this tour at the top of your list.
